Some of the fun events in Jacksonville are as follows.

Jacksonville Flower Show

The Cummer Gardens in downtown Jacksonville hosts an annual flower show the last weekend in May of each year. If you want to see some of the best tropical blooms that the city has to offer, you owe it to yourself to visit the Cummer Museum and Gardens for this event. In addition to the gardens being in full bloom, flower growers from all over the state participate in this annual event.

Diamond D Ranch Days

The Diamond D Ranch is located just Northwest of Jacksonville and is the host of the Diamond D Ranch Days for the last week of June of each year. This is a fun event for children and adults as it features rodeo events as well as agricultural information that make it not just a fun event, but educational as well.

Independence Day Celebration

Huguenot Memorial Park is the home to the annual 4th of July celebration that takes place in the park each year to celebrate Independence Day. Huguenot Memorial Park is located just off of Fort George Island and features vendors, crafts and a fireworks display. This is the perfect celebration for the entire family.

Riverboat Days

Enjoy the old fashioned Riverboat Days festival that takes place throughout the month of August in downtown Jacksonville off of the Annabelle Lee River Boat. During pallet company in Jacksonville August, there are costumed participants that bring you back to riverboat days of the past. Riverboat Days is more adult suited as it also involves the gaming boat.

Hanna Park Fair

If you like carnivals, then prepare yourself for one of the biggest at the Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park on Fort George Island. This is an annual carnival event that also features crafts as well as entertainment. It takes place on Labor Day weekend each year in Jacksonville.

Haunted Riverwalk

You can enjoy a candlelit stroll and hear spooky stories when you participate in the guided Haunted Riverwalk in Downtown Jacksonville during the last two weeks of October. While daily Riverwalk trips take place throughout the year, if you are looking for fun around Halloween, you can enjoy the haunted Riverwalk tour. This is not a scary tour and is suitable for all ages as you get to see some of the oldest houses in the city by candlelight.

Jacksonville Light Parade

Enjoy the Christmas Light Parade that runs right through Downtown Jackson the first Sunday in December. In addition to the parade, there are also tents for craft vendors, entertainment and a visit from Santa Claus himself. The light parade through Downtown Jacksonville is an event that both young and old will enjoy. It is a perfect way to start the holiday season.
